National Police Remembrance Day (NPRD) is on Sunday 29 September, when we commemorate the service of those Police who have given their life while on duty. They have served our community and we shall remember them. NPRD services are held all over Australia, but the main commemoration will be held in Canberra. Here is the schedule of events.
Thursday 26 September – 1630hrs
Australian War Memorial
Last Post Service is an opportunity for us to remember Police Officers killed in conflicts.
Friday 27 September – 0530hrs
National Police Memorial
Dawn Service – Blessing of the Five Touchstones that will be placed into the Wall this year.
Friday 27 September – 1530hrs
AFP Headquarters
NPRD March – Blackall Street to the National Police Memorial. Briefing at 1530 hrs to step off at 1550.
Friday 27 September – 1630hrs
National Police Memorial
Police Remembrance Day National Service Hosted by the AFP. This year’s NPRD service will be held in the ACT. People are requested to be seated by 4.30pm sharp.
Dress- Ceremonial Tunic with Medals or Business attire.

NORTHERN TERRITORY
Darwin Police Remembrance Day events. Early service at the Memorial on the Esplanade 7.45 for 8 am start. March from Darwin Police Station form up 9.15 for 9.30 step off. Church Service 9.45 at St Mary’s Cathedral.
SUNSHINE COAST
Friday, 27 September 2019 from 09:00. We gather to honour those Police who have been killed in the line of duty and remember their sacrifice.
A vigil will be held the evening before at Cotton Tree, 5:45pm
