Today we paused for National Police Remembrance Day (NPRD), when we commemorate the service of those Police who have given their life while on duty. From all accounts it was a huge turnout to many venues with NPRD services held all over Australia.

National Police Remembrance Day (NPRD) is on Sunday 29 September, when we commemorate the service of those Police who have given their life while on duty. They have served our community and we shall remember them. NPRD services are held all over Australia, but the main commemoration will be held in Canberra.

Dust off the old typewriter and the dash of the old XA Falcon. It’s time to see the new storage location of the AFP Museum. There are a limited number of places open to former members to attend the AFP Museum on Monday 9 September. Tours will be held on the hour from 10am to 3pm.

AFP Former Members Network turns 10

Happy Anniversary to the Australian Federal Police Former Members Network which celebrates it’s 10 year anniversary today. The Facebook page has become a valuable resource for former AFP members to gather, reunite and share stories of the “good old days.” The Australian Federal Police Former Members Network is merely a means of former members to reconnect with each other who have worked for the AFP. Some members only use Facebook to reconnect with former colleagues within our group.

Come and join us on Saturday 24 August 2019 at the fabulous Star Casino, Gold Coast where guests will be treated to canapes upon arrival, a scrumptious three course meal and 5 hour drink package. Your night will be fulfilled with entertainment including our host, talkback radio broadcaster and channel nine commentator Mr Ray Hadley OAM and our amazing Queensland Police Service band, Band of Blues. The ball is a tri-agency ball hosted by the Queensland Police Service, together with the New South Wales Police Force and Australian Federal Police.
