Have you previously been posted to AFP Bangkok during your career? Then join us in celebrating the 40 year anniversary of the Australian Federal Police Bangkok Office (1979-2019).

This milestone event recognises the significant relationships built between the AFP and our Thai Law Enforcement counterparts since the first AFP Senior Liaison Office began duties at the Australian Embassy in Bangkok in 1979. To commemorate, AFP Bangkok Post is proposing to host an event in mid-July 2019 in Bangkok.

The current SLO Bangkok would like to welcome you and your partner to attend the event. It would be great to see AFP members and former members who have worked at Bangkok Post – at the same time we understand the expense of travelling overseas. The cost of entry to the anniversary celebrations will be covered by AFP Bangkok Post but all other expenses would need to be incurred by you.

If you wish to attend the event please register by emailing AFP Bangkok Office Manager Khun Sirin at sirin.pinyolaxsna@dfat.gov.au with your name and contact details. Official invitations will be sent closer to the date.

To assist with preparations and to make the night as great as it possibly can be, we are kindly requesting that copies of any photographs you may have of AFP experiences over the last 40 years in Thailand be forwarded to AFP Bangkok Office Manager Khun Sirin at sirin.pinyolaxsna@dfat.gov.au and the AFP Museum at museum@afp.gov.au to ensure they are captured for posterity. It is hoped these could be used to decorate the room used to celebrate the evening.

Thanks again and we look forward to seeing you in July!
